Management Women Today

Management Women is a group of 100+ women in every career stage. Our mission is to promote professional growth and development of women by women. We are an independent non-profit group that has been serving Northeast Wisconsin for over 40 years. Our membership of professional, involved women holds a wealth of talent, drive, and mutual support.

Monthly luncheons feature professional development speakers; annual seminars bring national speakers; after hours events foster social networking; and all Management Women events provide an excellent opportunity to network with women in the community.

The annual seminar, HHH, is a day of professional development education and networking. It includes a fundraiser that supports scholarships for women seeking higher education.

Management Women has awarded more than $400,000 in scholarships in its history.

Our Beginnings

Management Women began in 1983 as the Bay Area Chapter of Women in Management. Dorothy Gallagher of U.S. Paper Mills and Chris Neumann of First Wisconsin Bank, along with 13 charter members, founded the organization as a way to share ideas and experiences as professional women. Women in Management, a national organization, gave them a framework for their endeavor.

In 1985, the organization changed its name to Management Women and became an independent organization. Within two years, Management Women included more than 100 women.
